Cranberry, Jackson receive $2.45M in state grants
Pennsylvania’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program recently awarded $2.45 million in state funding to Cranberry and Jackson townships.
Cranberry Township will receive $1.45 million to expand the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, while Jackson Township will receive $1 million for the renovation of the Steamfitters Technology Center.
“I am grateful to have advocated for these funds, which will be of tremendous benefit to the communities I’m so honored to serve,” said state Rep. Stephenie Scialabba, R-12th, in the news release on Friday, Nov. 1. “Residents will experience the positive long-term effects as a result of this significant boost.”
The Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program administered by Pennsylvania’s Office of the Budget, supports projects that enhance economic, recreational, cultural and civic opportunities, benefiting regions with increased employment and tax revenue.
