Shirley Ann Magee Dick
Shirley Ann Magee Dick, 75, of Pine Township, Mercer County, Grove City, died at 8 a.m. Sunday at her home. She had been ill since June 2009.
Born in Maple Terrace, Pine Township, Mercer County, Oct. 3, 1935, she was the daughter of George Ellsworth Magee and Edna Minerva Roudebush.
She married Harold Ellsworth Dick on Sept. 8, 1959, and he died Sept. 1, 1980.
Mrs. Dick was a homemaker and a Methodist.
Shirley enjoyed her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She liked gardening and cooking. Shirley also liked world history and attending plays at Grove City High School.
Her family would like to thank the Grove City Medical Center, the VNA Hospice of Butler and Dr. Kevin Thomas for their help and guidance during her time of illness.
Surviving are six children, Melonie Ann Magee of Harrisville, Richard “Rick” Magee of Mercer, Douglas L. Dick and his wife, Mary, of Harrisville, Daniel D. Dick and his wife, Jane Ford, of Grove City, Teresa “Terri” Oakes and her husband, Richard, of Grove City and Gail Lynn Griffin and her husband, Donald, of Sugar Grove; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Barry T. Magee and his wife, Kate, of Sandy Lake and Arthur “Bud” Magee and his wife, Sandy, of Grove City; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Ferguson of Grove City also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Alberta Osborne Magee.
<B>DICK</B> — Funeral services for Shirley Ann Magee Dick, who died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Nazarene, 520 N. Center St., Grove City, with the Rev. Mark Erskine, pastor of the church, officiating. Visitation will be at the church Monday from noon until time of the service.
