The annual church service and picnic in the park will be at 11 a.m. Sunday. A short church service will be at the Rotary Shelter at Butler Memorial Park, 380 Evans City Road. A picnic will follow. Take a large side dish. Children’s activities will be available. There also will be a building fund offering Sunday.

Children returning to school may take their backpacks to Sunday worship services for a special blessing.
Choir rehearsals will resume at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 3. The choir will sing at the late service Sept. 13.

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will have the annual blessing of the backpacks during worship Sunday. All students and teachers may bring their backpacks for the blessing and a gift.
To help set up, serve or clean up with the community dinner team or to bake a cake, call Terri Bonnett or the church office. The dinner is the first Wednesday of every month.
