Alberta Pearl Seybert
Alberta Pearl Seybert, 93, of Butler, formerly of Rimersburg, passed away Tuesday at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler surrounded by her family.
She was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Rimersburg, the daughter of Charles R. and Vernie A. Sallade Guntrum.
Alberta was born in Rimersburg and spent most of her life there until she moved to Butler. She was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Rimersburg and enjoyed participating in the congregation.
She was a fixture at local bingo games, where she had fun visiting with friends. When she had time to relax, she liked catching up on shopping or her favorite television shows — she never missed “Nancy Grace.” She also took great pleasure in feeding wild birds and turkeys and watching the beauty of nature out of her window.
Family was extremely important to Alberta, and she loved nothing more than to spend time with them, especially when they went out to eat.
She will be deeply missed by her son, Jim Seybert of Youngsville; her daughters, ValJean Frazier and her husband, James, of Renfrew, Bonnie Seybert of Butler and Joanne Uplinger and her husband, Melvin “Sonny,” of Bradys Bend; her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Mildred Best of Rimersburg.
In addition to her parents, Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Allen J. Seybert; her son, Bob Seybert; her daughter, Patricia Wyman; her daughter-in-law, Carol Seybert; and her numerous brothers and sisters.
