Carol J. Patterson
Carol J. Patterson, 66, of Kaylor Frogtown Road, East Brady, went to be with the Lord at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Sugarcreek Rest Home in Worthington following a brief illness.
Mrs. Patterson was born in Rimersburg on Aug. 12, 1946. She was the daughter of Eugene and Helen Anthony Kriebel.
Carol was a graduate of Union High School. She was a member of the Young at Heart Group and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bradys Bend American Legion Post. She especially enjoyed camping with her family and the company of her dog, Festus.
She was a longtime member of the Baker Street Church of God in Rimersburg and recently was attending the Chicora Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
She was employed for more than 20 years as a nurse’s aide at the Chicora Medical Center.
Carol was married in East Brady on June 25, 1994, to Harold “Buzz” Patterson. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2010.
She is survived by three sons, Brian D. Troutman and his wife, Gretchen, of Freeport, Scott A. Troutman and his wife, Crystal, of Karns City and Jason P. Troutman and his wife, Jodi, of Cowansville; seven grandchildren, Zane, Brianna, Lukas, Cheyenne, Sebastian, Jayda and Joel Troutman; a brother, Rick Kriebel and his wife, Shelly, of Newport, N.C.; her mother-in-law, Jaminia Patterson of Indiana; her stepmother, Cindy Hornberger of Mayport; two stepsisters, Terri Douglas and her husband, Dean, of Karns City and Carma Markle of New Bethlehem; a stepbrother, Pastor Barry Markle and his wife, Michelle, of Cooperstown; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jocelyn Elizabeth Troutman and Kyle Gabriel Troutman.
PATTERSON — Friends of Carol J. Patterson, who passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Barry Markle of Community Church of God, Cooperstown, officiating. Interment will follow in Rimersburg Cemetery.
