The Butler County Historical Society has produced a deck of playing cards that features a different Butler County historic photo on the face of each playing card.

This limited edition item highlights our county and is a creative collectible for anyone with ties to Butler County.

The cards are available exclusively at the Lowrie/Shaw House, 123 W. Diamond St.

Hospital provides parent/child classThe Education and Clinical Advancement Center at Butler Memorial Hospital will offer a mother/daughter and a father/son class from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 5 in the Nixon Sarver classrooms.The class is for ages 9 to 12 to discuss the changes that occur during puberty and encourage communication.
