How to make sprouts

<B>NATURAL CHOICE</B> — Raw food advocates believe that eating fresh fruits and vegetables helps to cleanse the body. In the raw food diet, items such as processed foods, refined sugars and starches are taboo.

1/3 cup red clover seed1/8 cup radish seedPlace seeds in a gallon jar, covering with pure water. Place a rubber band and a square piece of screen over the top of the jar, then soak overnight.In the morning, drain and rinse the seeds, then rest the jar in the dish drain for the day. (Put opening down but make sure the seed does not cover the screen so air can circulate.)Rinse the sprouts in the evening after dinner or before bed by putting water in the jar to cover the seeds, give them a swirl then empty the water.Continue to rinse the sprouts twice a day, in the morning and evening for five days.To harvest, fill a large stainless bowl with pure water and the sprouts. Shake the sprouts under water to remove the hulls which will float to the top or sink to the bottom. Skim the hulls from the top. Rinse out the empty jar so you can put the sprouts back in after the hulls are removed. Replace the screen and rubber band and place the jar of sprouts back in the dish drain to have the water drain for the next several hours.Transfer the sprouts to a plastic bag. Give the top a twist and refrigerate. Eat on wraps, salads, sandwiches.
