Miller Minutes: A list of Butler County events coming up this weekend
(To the tune of “The Christmas Waltz” by Frank Sinatra)
“It’s that time of year
Where the world is in a haze
Daylight saving time seems to say:
‘Winter is coming
I am shortening your days.’”
The “fall back” is messing with my head so much I thought I would share that little ditty with you.
Although that extra hour of sleep was great, it doesn’t matter if you’re a night owl or early bird: The sharp shift is enough to throw anyone for a loop.
Not only that, but the time after Halloween is a difficult one to navigate. I’m not exactly ready for Christmas, but everyone else seems to be. Worst of all, events dwindle in number as the days get colder (meanwhile, I’m writing this when it is a balmy 72 degrees).
The days will slow down as the sun sets earlier, but I have to remind myself that this doesn’t mean all of life stops. There is still fun to be had.
As I was looking through what Butler County has to offer your social lives this week, I was greeted with a number of interesting opportunities for you to attend. Don’t let the 5:15 p.m. darkness deter you from heading out to have some fun this weekend!
