Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will host the Great Backyard Bird Count from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 14. Educator “Appie” Hour will be conducted by Jennings staff from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Feb. 17 for secondary teachers and administrators. Registration is requested by Feb. 15. Moraine State Park, Muddy Creek Township, will be the site of a winter hike for veterans and their families from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 20 starting from pavilion 1 on the South Shore of the park.
