Kay Macurdy passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, in Clearwater, Fla.

She was an extraordinary classical pianist and teacher who traveled the world, always living life on her own terms. From Japan to Germany to Turkey, Kay taught in Department of Defense Schools and also in the South Butler County school system. After her retirement, Kay eventually settled in Florida with her family.

Kay’s kindness and generosity touched so many lives, and her memory will be a blessing to all who knew her. Her talent, spirit and warmth made her truly one of a kind. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy and the love she shared will remain with us forever.
