Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, presents “Animals of the Ice” about saber-tooth tigers, mastodons and sloths, as well as animals that walked the earth in Western Pennsylvania during the “Ice Age,” during a program at 2 p.m. Sunday. The speaker will be Russell Graham, director of the Earth and Mineral Sciences Museum at Pennsylvania State University. The program is free, and registration is not required.
McConnells Mill State Park, Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, hosts a traditional Christmas open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 23. Enjoy a craft. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Park at Kildoo picnic area and walk down to the mill, which is not heated. Call 724-368-8811.
