A Rock Out to Knock Out Cancer is slated for 5 p.m. Saturday at the North Washington Social Hall, 739 Fairview Road. Live music, concessions, raffles, a bake sale, balloon animals, a Chinese auction and a pumpkin decorating contest are planned. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children 4 and younger. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. Call 724-791-2513.
Butler County Symphony Orchestra will present “Jazz” with the Joe Negri Trio and a tribute to Irving Berlin, on Nov. 3 in the auditorium of the Butler Intermediate High School. Handel’s “Messiah” rehearsals have begun for the New Castle Music Club under the direction of Butler resident Harry Cunningham. Rehearsals are from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays.
