GIBSONIA — Stephen Westerburg, a security specialist with Northwest Savings Bank, will present "It's a Scam! Protecting Yourself from Today's Thieves" at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hilltop Hall at The Village at St. Barnabas, 5850 Meridian Road.
The program will explore what technology-savvy thieves are doing. He notes that individuals, particularly seniors, are often surprised by the simplicity of scam artists' tactics.

FREEPORT — The 1792 abduction of Massey Harbison will be remembered in a multimedia presentation and luncheon from noon to 3 p.m. Friday at the River Forest Golf Club, 130 Club House Drive.The presentation will recount the story of Harbison's abduction and trek along the Allegheny River. ZELIENOPLE — St. Peter's Reformed Church of Zelienople will hold its annual flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St. In addition to the flea market, items for sale will include baked goods, clothing and books. A Chinese auction also will be held. Breakfast, lunch and funnel cakes will be available.All proceeds will benefit the church's building fund.
FRANKLIN TWP — Prospect's community day and car cruise will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. May 23 at Fairground Market on Route 422 across from the Butler County Fairgrounds.The event will include prizes, a disc jockey, food, door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and free gun locks.The rain date will be May 24. Proceeds will benefit the Prospect Historical Society.
HARMONY — Zelienople native Patricia Knoechel will present her Quilt in a Day program at 10 a.m. May 26 at the Harmony Museum's Stewart Hall on Mercer Street.The presentation, Night and Day, Lover's Knot, How Charming and Fox & Geese, is based on the latest Quilt in a Day publications by Knoechel Eleanor Burns.
