GIBSONIA — Stephen Westerburg, a security specialist with Northwest Savings Bank, will present "It's a Scam! Protecting Yourself from Today's Thieves" at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hilltop Hall at The Village at St. Barnabas, 5850 Meridian Road.

The program will explore what technology-savvy thieves are doing. He notes that individuals, particularly seniors, are often surprised by the simplicity of scam artists' tactics.

FREEPORT — The 1792 abduction of Massey Harbison will be remembered in a multimedia presentation and luncheon from noon to 3 p.m. Friday at the River Forest Golf Club, 130 Club House Drive.The presentation will recount the story of Harbison's abduction and trek along the Allegheny River.
