Art Center exhibits seniors' thesis work
Graduating seniors from the Slippery Rock University bachelor of fine arts program will exhibit the pieces that represent their thesis work starting Monday at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St.
The exhibit opens at 7 p.m. Monday. It will fill both floors of the center and feature work by Erin Kelly of Butler, Trevor King of Slippery Rock, and Rachael Weifling of Saxonburg, among other artists.
The show features artwork of various media, including photography, sculpture, fiber art, ceramics and digital media.
The exhibit remains on display through Nov. 30 from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, noon to 9 p.m. Fridays, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
Upcoming events at The Art Center include the annual holiday show and sale, for which entries are due Nov. 26. The show and sale opens Dec. 2 and runs through Dec. 31.

The center will host music performances for the “Ring in the Arts” New Years’ Eve celebration Dec. 31 in Butler.
