FRANKLIN TWP, Beaver County — The Red Barn Players will open their season with the comedy “Role Play” for nine performances starting Friday.

The show, written by Alan Ayckbourn, is being directed by Hazel Zimmerman.

Performances will begin at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and June 9 to 11 and 15 to 18 at the Red Barn Theatre, Route 228, the Ellwood-Zelienople Road in Franklin Township, Beaver County.

The story involves Justin and Julie-Ann who are newly engaged and living happily in Justin’s apartment in the London Docklands area. They have decided to throw a dinner party so that they can meet each other’s parents, and the parents can meet each other. Well, everything goes wrong, quickly and hilariously.

The cast includes Jessa Hvizdalek, Aaron Zimmerman, Catherine Schulz, Mary Cameron, Danyle Verzinkie, Jeff Carey and Thom Hilliard.
