Cranberry supervisors authorize intermunicipal agreement with Marshall Township
Cranberry Township supervisors executed the Marshall Township Municipal Sanitary Authority/Cranberry Township Capital Improvement Payment Agreement at a meeting on Thursday.
Under the terms of the intermunicipal agreement, Marshall Township is responsible for a percentage of capital improvement costs. Marshall Township agreed to pay about $6.3 million during construction as part of an ongoing $37 million project to upgrade the Brush Creek Sewage Treatment Plant.
That facility provides service to Cranberry Township as well as portions of other surrounding townships. The upgrades will aim to enhance the plant's operations and capacity.
