Jefferson Twp. OKs phase 2 of residential development
JEFFERSON TWP — Supervisors gave final land development approval to the second phase of the still-under-construction Liberty Pointe residential development during their monthly meeting Monday night, Nov. 11.
The development, which is set to contain more than 100 residential homes, sits along roughly 40 acres north of Constitution Avenue in the township and is operated by Liberty Pointe Partners. Township Manager Leo Rosenbauer said one of the lots already has been sold.
At one point, the plans called for 20 “quad” units to be built for phase 2. However, that had to be reduced to 19 to make room for a stormwater detention pond.
Rosenbauer said other changes made over the course of the year included reducing the size of the planned clubhouse and a reduction in parking.
Approval was granted by the board upon condition of the developers addressing a list of comments from the township engineer, which — according to Rosenbauer — amount to little more than housekeeping.
