Butler-based Armco Credit Union will expand its scholarship program for high school students in celebration of the credit union’s 90th anniversary.

The credit union will increase its scholarship program to award $25,250 in 2025, with 20 students being awarded $1,000 each and additional seven students $750 each.

The program is open to freshmen entering the fall 2025 academic year and who enroll in an accredited vocational trade school or college. The student or parent/guardian must be a member of the credit union by Dec. 31 to qualify.

Deadline for applications is Feb. 28. Applications can be completed at armcocu.com.

Since the scholarship program’s inception eight years ago, Armco Credit Union has awarded more than $175,000 to students.
