3 injured in Tuesday crash in Prospect
Three people had injuries of unknown severity after a head-on crash Tuesday morning, Nov. 12, on New Castle Road near the Fairground Market in Prospect.
According to state police, one vehicle pulled out of the market in front of a vehicle traveling east on New Castle Road, and the vehicles struck each other. The vehicle that pulled out of the market then struck the guardrail on the westbound lane.
Carolee Mathieson, 50, of Volant, and Harrison Moon Jr., 74, also of Volant, who were in the vehicle that pulled out of the market were wearing seat belts, but they were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
The driver of the other vehicle, Donna Kordich, 73, of Reading, Pa., also was wearing a seat belt and was taken to Butler Memorial.
Police said the air bags deployed on both vehicles.
