Edward J. Zabish, 72, of Valencia, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, Nov. 13, 2024, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born in Pittsburgh on March 23, 1952, he was the son of Patricia J. Boden Zabish and the late Philip F. Zabish.

He was a 1970 graduate of Richland High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Ed was a self-employed owner/operator truck driver and had operated for Sterling Trucking and Grammer Logistics.

He was a member of Northway Christian Community in Wexford.

Surviving are his wife, Darlene J. Wheeler Zabish, whom he married on March 26, 1980; his daughter, Courtney J. Steele (Samuel) of Butler; two sons, Bradley J. Zabish (Quinn) of Zelienople and Austin J. Zabish (Jodi) of Butler; his grandchildren, Braylin, Alexis, Kinsley, Maximus and Theodore; his canine companion, Stewie J.; his mother, Patricia Zabish of Mars; two sisters, Karen Smith (John) in North Carolina and Cindy Bates (Tom) of Mars; a brother, Charles Zabish (Judy) in Texas; two stepbrothers, Rodney Zabish in California and Philip Zabish in Ohio; and nieces and nephews.

ZABISH — Friends of Edward J. Zabish, who died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
