Kaleidoscope dances toward big finish

Slippery Rock University senior Kaitlyn Christensen will be part of the Senior Synthesis dance concerts Saturday in Swope Music Hall on campus.

The annual Kaleidoscope Arts Festival at Slippery Rock University wraps up Sunday, but not before its presents more music, theater and dance. Highlights include:

Today• Wacongo Dance Company, a traditional ensemble of drummers, musicians and dancers from the Democratic Republic of the Congo who perform the ancestral songs and dances of Central Africa, 8 p.m. in Swope Music Hall. Cost is $3 for general admission.• Brave New Plays, 8 p.m., Miller Auditorium.

Friday• Brave New Plays, 8 p.m., Miller Auditorium.

Saturday• Senior Synthesis dance concerts, 5 and 8 p.m. in Swope Music Hall. Cost is $5 for general admission and $3 for SRU students.• Brave New Plays, 8 p.m., Miller Auditorium.

Sunday• Brave New Plays, 2 p.m., Miller Auditorium.• Piano Extravaganza, 7:30 p.m. in Swope Music Hall. Cost is $3 for general admission and free for SRU students.Events are subject to change.
