FRAZER TWP, Allegheny County — Wagman Winterfest, the free winter star party sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh, has been canceled. It had been planned for Saturday.

The 17th annual event had to be canceled because the heavy accumulation of snow on the observatory hilltop in Deer Lakes park presents a problem for those trying to reach the facility.

The next public star parties will be April 16 and 17.
