The following items were collected from various police departments:

Oct. 16 — Matthew J. Bowser, 34, of Emlenton, was charged with misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession related to an Oct. 14 traffic stop on West Sunbury Road, Center Township. Police said they suspected Bowser was a drug user. Bowser denied consent to search his vehicle, police said, and a warrant was issued. Police said during the search, they found a glass smoking pipe with meth residue on it.

Oct. 15 — Ronda L. Schaeffer, 54, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to an Oct. 11 two-vehicle crash on Oneida Valley Road in Summit Township. Police said Schaeffer caused the crash by turning in front of another vehicle. Schaeffer was unable to complete field sobriety tests, police said, and a preliminary breath test showed the presence of alcohol. Police said Schaeffer later refused to have her blood tested.

Oct. 16 — Austin R. Renk, 23, of Jefferson Hills, was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to an Oct. 12 traffic stop on Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed Renk was impaired and a later breath test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.118%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.
