Christopher G. Kress, 78, of Mars, passed away on Saturday evening, Nov. 16, 2024, in the comfort of his home with his family at his side.

Born in Pittsburgh on March 16, 1946, he was the son of the late Christopher and Estella Droste Kress.

He was a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Chris had been a lineman and foreman for Penn Power in Zelienople and also had been a school bus driver for the Mars Area School District.

He enjoyed boating, fishing and camping, and also belonged to the Zelienople Masons.

He was a member of Victory Family Church in Cranberry Township.

Surviving are his wife, Judy A. Shirey Kress, whom he married on Sept. 29, 1967; his daughter, Jennifer Bennett (Shawn) of Mars; his son, James C. Kress (Christie) of Lexington, N.C.; his grandson, Logan Bennett; and a niece and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Kress.

KRESS — Friends of Christopher G. Kress, who died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park in Cranberry Township.
