Victor ‘Chip’ McKinney Jr.
Victor P. “Chip” McKinney Jr., 71, of Butler, passed away the afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024.
Chip was born on Oct. 5, 1953, in Grove City, the son of Victor P. McKinney Sr. and the late Joyce Mae (Powell) McKinney.
Chip retired as a heavy equipment operator from Heckett Multiserve. He was a member of the American Legion Post 243 and the Parker Allegheny Canby Lodge 521. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and most of all loved spending time with his family.
Chip is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kay L. (Coulter) McKinney, whom he married on July 26, 1975; his father, Victor P. McKinney Sr.; his son, Jason McKinney (Amanda Webb) of Butler; his grandchild, Alex; and two stepgrandchildren, Jocelyn and Jaron. He is also survived by his two brothers, Douglas (Chris) McKinney of West Sunbury and Jerold (Kim) McKinney of Slippery Rock; and many nieces and nephews.
MCKINNEY — Family and friends of Victor P. “Chip” McKinney Jr., who died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, will be received for visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be held privately Thursday at West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
