MacTaggart

Kathy J. MacTaggart, 78, of Butler, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, while under the care of Concordia of Cabot.

Born Aug. 22, 1946, in Bradford, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jack and Ruth Kamerer.

Kathy loved gardening, flowers and animals, especially dogs and cats, and enjoyed feeding the birds. She enjoyed attending her sons’ sporting events and was a strong supporter of the Pitt athletic program, where she enjoyed attending games with her cousin, Lindsay.

The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Concordia for its excellent care of Kathy.

She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Cindy) MacTaggart of Karns City and Mark (Beth) MacTaggart of Butler; her grandchildren, Mason MacTaggart and Madeline Toy; her brother, Jay (Debbie) Kamerer of Wellsboro; and her cousin, Lindsay Mork.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, James Lewis MacTaggart; and her brother, Dennis Kamerer and his wife, Deanna.

MACTAGGART — Family and friends of Kathy J. MacTaggart, who died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, will be received for visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

A private service will be held for Kathy’s family and close friends.
