The Butler County American Legion baseball playoff game between Cranberry Township and Saxonburg was postponed Monday due to inclement weather.

It will now be played at 6 p.m. today at Laura Doerr Park. The survivor will advance to face Center Township at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Pullman Park.

Northern Steel joins national tourneyThe under-14 Northern Steel girls soccer team recently won the US Club Soccer National Cup regional championship in Richmond, Va.The team finished 3-0-1 and qualified for the national championship in Boise, Idaho.Team members include Sydne Slinguff, Sara Suler, Lexi Whisel, Casey Merritt, Dillon Wright, Morgan Stillwagon, Sadie Stillwagon, Madison Bell, Devin Conrad, McKenzie Gruber, Jacqueline White, Sara Alberts, Carolyn Sterling, Mary Kathryn Bair, Isabella Spadafora, Courtney Harden, Rachel Winiesky, McKenzie Troyan and Angelina Prato.Blair Gerlach is head coach of the team.

Knapp wins at Shadow LakesALIQUIPPA — St. Jude Golf Club member Sean Knapp took first place in the WPGA event at The Club at Shadow Lakes Monday.Knapp and Venetia’s Jon Ross both finished the two-round event at 70-71-141 before the former won on the first playoff hole.
