Five Butler County area baseball and softball teams will be playing in PIAA first-round playoff games Monday. They include:

Baseball Class AAAA

Seneca Valley will face McDowell at 4 p.m. at Pullman Park.

Class AAA

Grove City will play Chartiers Valley at 6 p.m. at Jerry Uht Park in Erie.

Class AA

Karns City will play Riverside at 2 p.m. at the Burkett Complex in Robinson Township.

Softball Class AAAA

Seneca Valley will face McDowell at 3 p.m. at Penn State-Behrend.

Class AA

Moniteau will battle Burrell at 5 p.m. at North Allegheny High.
