ALAMEDA, Calif. — The Oakland Raiders told coach Tom Cable they are not picking up his option to bring him back next season.

The team announced the decision Tuesday night.

Cable had a 17-27 record since taking over from Lane Kiffin on an interim basis in 2008.

KAPALUA, Hawaii — The Masters is about to let anyone play Augusta National — at least in a video game.In another step toward reaching a younger audience, the Masters will be featured in EA Sports' next edition of the popular “Tiger Woods PGA Tour” golf game franchise.The game goes on sale March 29, a week before the Masters, and will be available on the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation consoles. It will be the first time Augusta National has allowed its fabled golf course to be used for a video game.The move is part of an effort to increase interest in golf, especially among youth.

PINE TWP — The Seneca Valley hockey team will play North Allegheny in an outdoor charity game at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at the North Park Ice Rink.Proceeds will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.Tickets, souvenir T-shirts and raffle tickets are available from any varsity player or at any Seneca Valley or North Allegheny game at Warrendale BladeRunners. Pregame tickets are $5. Ticket and T-shirt packages are $15.

PITTSBURGH — If Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is engaged, he isn't saying.Roethlisberger declined Tuesday to discuss rumors he became engaged over the holidays to a Pittsburgh-area woman. There have been numerous postings on social media sites, some even identifying the woman by name.At the Steelers' first practice of the week, Roethlisberger said he would not talk about his personal life. But he did not deny the rumors.“Oh, geez,” Roethlisberger said. “You guys know that I am not going to talk about my personal life. I don't do that.”

CINCINNATI — Marvin Lewis is staying as Bengals coach.Lewis agreed to a contract extension on Tuesday after two days of negotiating changes in how the front office functions. Owner Mike Brown wanted to keep him, offering an extension last season. Lewis wanted to stay, too, but only if he got more influence over decisions.The Bengals are coming off a 4-12 season. They've had only two winning records during Lewis' eight seasons.
