Pitt women’s basketball falls to Kansas in first game of Paradise Jam
Mikayla Johnson scored a career-high 14 points and had seven rebounds, but Pitt women’s basketball lost to Kansas 59-53 Thursday at the Paradise Jam.
The Panthers (5-2) lost just their second game of the season and were held to a poor shooting performance — 33.3% from the field and 18.2% from 3-point territory.
Johnson, a redshirt sophomore, led the Panthers in game one of the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Bella Perkins scored 10 points and four rebounds in the loss.
Pitt plays 12:30 p.m. Friday against Auburn.
