Seneca Valley High School seniors Lauen Balmert and Jennifer Boyd highlighted five local athletes named to the 2007 Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association

Balmert, a 5-foot-9 setter, and Boyd, a 6-foot middle hitter, helped the Raiders advance to the WPIAL Class AAA semifinals this season, before losing to North Allegheny.Boyd will attend Ball State University next season.Three area players made the Class AA team.Knoch senior Zoe Hughes helped the Knights to a 16-2 record and berth into the WPIALClass AA playoffs.Freeport senior Samantha Campbell, a 5-10 outside hitter, was a part of a Yellowjackets' team that advanced to the second round of the WPIAL playoffs.Grove City senior middle hitter Caitlin Rothman broke the school record for kills in a season to earn a spot on the team.
