Danielle Sickle was the winner of the drawing for the Ben Roethlisberger Fathead poster, a promotion co-sponsored by the Butler Eagle and Boscov's.

The third Fathead, featuring Jerome Bettis, will be in the Dec. 20 edition of the Eagle and will be co-sponsored by Snack 'n' Pack. Entry forms will be on the poster.

NEW YORK — Doug Mientkiewicz and the Red Sox are going to arbitration to decide who owns the ball from the final out of Boston's 2004 World Series victory.On Friday, the same day Mientkiewicz finalized a contract with the Kansas City Royals, the Red Sox agreed to dismiss the lawsuit they filed last month asking for the Suffolk Superior Court in Massachusetts to order that the ball be returned to the team.Instead, the commissioner's office filed a grievance. Unless settled, the case will be heard by an arbitrator.

MARQUETTE, Mich. — Shani Davis' bid to make both U.S. Olympic speedskating teams ended Friday when he fell in the semifinals of the 1,000 meters, the final event of the national short track championships.Davis, a world record holder in long track and already qualified for that team, wanted to make the short track squad as wellApolo Anton Ohno won both the 500 and the 1,000 on the meet's final night, giving him seven victories in eight events.Kim Hyo-jung won the women's overall title and earned an Olympic spot in all three individual races — the 500, 1,000 and 1,500.

VAL GARDENA, Italy — American Bode Miller lost the lead in the overall World Cup standings Friday after he finished eighth in a super-G skiing race won by Hans Grugger of Austria.Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway finished fifth to take the lead from Miller with 412 points. Reigning overall World Cup champion Miller is just two points behind.

ATLANTA— The Peach Bowl will have a new name in 2006 — the Chick-fil-A Bowl.The Atlanta-based fast-food restaurant became a title sponsor of the 38-year-old bowl in 1997 and will become the sole name beginning next season.Chick-fil-A officials were troubled that many media outlets left out their brand and simply referred to the game as the Peach Bowl.The final Peach Bowl with the current name will be Dec. 30, pitting ninth-ranked Miami and No. 10 LSU in the only non-BSC matchup of two Top 10 teams.
