Rob McClellan of Butler played in the first two rounds of the first Pete Dye West Virginia Classic in Bridgeport, W.Va., last Thursday and Friday.

McClellan, the golf pro at Olde Stonewall Golf Club in Elwood City, shot a 74 in the first round, but carded an 82 in the second for a 156 to miss the cut in the Nationwide Tour event.

McClellan said he will attend the PGA Tour qualifying school in October.

The ISB Old-Timers, a Butler softball team whose members' ages range from 30 to 76, lost a 20-15 decision to Cav's Place of Lyndora Saturday at Franklin Field.Team members in their 70s were Dom Trombatt and Ray Achezinski. Those players in their 60s were Gary Petrigni, Paul Zarnick, Bob Orloski, Paul Matuke, Earl Hackett and Marty Creeks.
