AUSTIN, Texas - Larry Nelson rallied from three strokes off the lead, shooting a 5-under-par 67 Sunday for a one-stroke victory at the FedEx Kinko's Classic.Nelson, a two-time runner-up this season, rallied with three birdies on the back nine and finished at 7-under 209, one stroke ahead of Bruce Lietzke (69).
PRAGUE, Czech Republic - Florida defenseman Jay Bouwmeester scored the winning goal, and Canada rallied to beat Sweden for the second straight year in the gold-medal game at the world hockey championships, 5-3 on Sunday.Canada has won the world title a record 23 times, tying the Soviet Union-Russia.The United States won the bronze medal earlier Sunday with a 1-0 victory in a shootout over Slovakia. BALTIMORE - Jockey Rick Wilson was in critical condition Sunday with head injuries after falling from his horse at Pimlico a day earlier, but his agent said reports on the rider were encouraging.Wilson flipped head over heels to the ground after his mount, Advance to Go, stumbled out of the gate during the second race Saturday, track spokesman Mike Gathagan said. Wilson was motionless, face down, as the field rounded the first turn.John Salzman Jr., Wilson's agent, said Sunday that the jockey was awake and responsive.The hospital wouldn't elaborate on his health apart from giving his condition.
