Moraine State Park to host Liberty Tree Hike
In honor of America’s fast-approaching 250th anniversary celebration, Moraine State Park is hosting a Liberty Tree Hike on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
The hike will start at 10 a.m. from the spot near the park office where the America250PA Foundation planted the eponymous tree in October, and will take place along two-mile Pleasant Valley Trail. The foundation is planting such trees at sites across the state to honor the original Liberty Tree, an icon of America’s colonial era.
