Woman charged with endangering child

An Evans City woman is facing charges after police said drug paraphernalia, including syringes, were found in her child’s room.

State police filed endangering the welfare of children and possession of drug paraphernalia charges against Hailee J. Ott, 27, on Tuesday, Dec. 10, after responding to a report of a stolen vehicle at her home.

Police were dispatched to the home she shares with her boyfriend and daughter, found the car at the residence and determined Ott lied about it being stolen, according to an affidavit. Police said she had allegedly used the car to buy drugs.

Inside the house in the daughter’s playroom, where the girl also sleeps, police found a large amount of empty stamp bags, a spoon and swab containing suspected heroin residue, a milk jug full of used syringes with blood on the tips and open syringes, according to an affidavit.
