Vilma Tomosovich

Tomosovich

Vilma J. Tomosovich, 95, of Renfrew, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born in Butler Feb. 7, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Emil and Ida (Nini) Balde.

After her graduation from Butler High School, she was employed by the Egg Auction until her marriage in 1949 to Ivan (Hermie) Tomosovich. She was later employed by Nationwide Insurance and retired in 1979.

Vilma loved to travel and enjoyed moving from home to home just for the pleasure of decorating a new place. Friends and family will remember her listening for hours to much-loved music of her youth as she reminisced about her days of Saturday night dances and her dream of dancing once more.

Surviving are her daughter, Sandra (Bruce) Wasson of San Diego; her son, David (Deb) Tomosovich of Butler; her grandchildren, Chad (Kaitlin) Tomosovich and Korri (Gabe) Schwartz; and great-grandchildren, Sam, Gabby and Cole Schwartz and Harper Malaspina. She also is survived by a group of incredibly loving women who cared for her in her home throughout her later years. A special loving message to our mom, grandma and great grandma: We will see you at the Lake House.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her companion, John Laurence; and her brother, Richard Balde.

TOMOSOVICH — A private service and burial for Vilma J. Tomosovich, who died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, were arranged by YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, Butler.
