Demolition of Passavant Retirement Community’s Olde Main off Culvert Street in Zelienople has begun and is expected to take about three months, according to Laura Roy, Passavant executive director. The site will house 10 new independent living cottages, part of a $57 million renovation effort. Construction of the cottages is expected to begin in August and should be done by August 2016, Roy said. The removal of Olde Main also will also create more parking for visitors and employees.
