Carmen Sommariva
Carmen Jack Sommariva, 86, of 11105 Pinehigh Drive, Alpharetta, Ga., died July 6 in the presence of family members.
Born in Butler, March 15, 1920, he was the son of Joseph Sommariva and Ersilia Maurantonio.
He had been a carpenter. He also had worked for a railroad, and his stories from that time were full of laughter.
Mr. Sommariva was a World War II veteran, and he received the Purple Heart.
He was always ready to be a help and will be remembered for the sincere smile he had for everyone.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine; two daughters, Patricia Anderson and Arlene Dailey, both of Alpharetta; three granddaughters; four great-grandchildren, and a cousin.
<B>SOMMARIVA </B>— A Christian Burial Mass was said July 8 at St. Brigid Catholic Church, Alpharetta, for Carmen Jack Sommariva, who died Thursday, July 6, 2006. The Rev. Anthony Curran officiated. Burial was at Green Lawn Cemetery, Roswell, Ga.
