Butler Township approves zoning change, lot consolidation
BUTLER TWP — Commissioners approved a zoning change request and lot consolidation Monday, Dec. 16 for the former Butler Vagabonds property on Whitestown Road.
Kenmac Rentals and Sales announced its purchase of the property in September, stating a desired March 1, 2025, opening date. However, the property was zoned residential and required a zoning change to commercial.
The property in question, formerly owned by Butler Vagabonds, was split among four separate parcels. In addition to a zoning change request, a separate request was submitted to consolidate the lots.
A hearing was held before the vote, and the full extent of the requests was discussed.
The property is adjacent to two other residential zone parcels, one owned by Sherwood Lanes and the other split between two family homes. The owners of both parcels were included in discussions and agreed to the zoning change.
After the hearing, the zoning change and lot consolidation passed unanimously.
Commissioners also approved the finalized 2025 budget, set at $21,269,997. The budget did not increase taxes for residents and kept the property tax rate at 11.25 mills.
