Sallie L. (Myers) Deer, 83, of Butler passed away in the early hours of Dec. 28.

Born Dec. 30, 1931, to the late Edith and Edward F. Myers Sr., she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward F. Myers Jr.; her husband, William L. Deer Sr., who preceded her on Dec. 17, 2000; her children, William Deer Jr., James D. Deer and David E. Deer, who all died from sugar diabetes, and Kimberly R. Deer Faust, who died from breast cancer and sugar diabetes.

She is survived and beloved by her sister, Roberta R. Myers Williams of Maryland; her sons, Charles “Chuck” Deer and Randy Deer, both of Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.

Sally was known for her crocheting and knitting and will be missed for her handiwork.

We all love and miss her greatly.
