College roundup: Knoch grad, Grove City WR Scott Fraser named first-team AP All-American
Scott Fraser was named an Associated Press NCAA Division III football All-American first-teamer Thursday.
The Knoch grad, currently a senior wide receiver for a Grove City College team that made the D-III national championship, caught 81 passes for 1,307 yards and 14 touchdowns in the fall, leading the Presidents’ Athletic Conference in touchdowns and yards. He was second in receptions.
Fraser owns the school’s single-game record with 242 yards, which he achieved on 10 catches in September in a 56-7 blowout win over Saint Vincent.
He’s second all-time in Grove City’s receiving annals with 287 catches, 4,303 yards and 38 TDs.
He was joined on the first team by Grove City junior linebacker Ben Bladel, who had 10.5 sacks and 22.5 tackles for loss this season.
