Janet Eisler

Eisler

Janet J. Eisler, 89, of Prospect, went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, Dec. 19, 2024, at home with her family by her side.

She was born April 28, 1935, to Robert and R. Rebecca (Freehling) Kroneberg.

Janet married John “Jack” Eisler on Jan. 6, 1954, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2013.

Janet was known around Prospect for her home-baked pies and helping with dinners at the Presbyterian Church of Prospect, where she was a proud member. She volunteered with the Prospect American Legion Post, hosting many picnics.

Janet retired from Kmart after 17 years, she drove a bus for Bryan Bus Line and worked many years in several greenhouses. She was still known for her flower beds at the age of 89. She enjoyed playing the piano and was a member of the community chime choir. She enjoyed her monthly lunches with her dear friends. Her biggest joy was her family and helping with her grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Becky (Red) Osborne and Sandra Cranmer, both of Prospect, and Nancy (Jim) Harmon of Berlin Heights, Ohio; one son, John; and one sister, Darlene Edison of Georgia. She also is survived by nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Roger and Ronald Kroneberg; and her great-granddaughter, Hope.

The family would like to thank the sixth-floor staff at Butler Memorial Hospital and the VNA staff.

When you see a beautiful basket of flowers or a bird feeder full of birds, smile and think of Janet.
