A parking meter shows its expired sign Friday on North Washington Street.

Mayor Bob Dandoy announced at the city council meeting Thursday, Dec. 19, that Downtown Butler will offer free parking through the holiday season.

The free parking period begins Saturday, Dec. 21, and runs through Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025. All street metered parking spaces will not be enforced during this time.

“Come downtown. Get in the holiday spirit and enjoy the free parking and support your local shops and restaurants,” Mayor Dandoy said.

Enforcement will continue in the Tier parking garage and parking lots.
