Dolores ‘Lorie’ Stewart

Dolores “Lorie” Stewart, 68, of Butler, passed away on Monday, Dec. 16, 2024.

She was born in Butler on Feb. 24, 1956, to the late Nicholas and Anna (Mudrick) Druga.

Lorie graduated from Butler Area High School in 1973 and worked at Stanley’s Bakery for many years.

She was known for being a wonderful homemaker, mother and grandmother, and was described as generous, loving and kind to her many friends and neighbors. Lorie was proud of her garden and loved to feed the birds and other wildlife in her backyard. She also enjoyed baking and playing bingo.

Lorie was a member of the Ladies Guild of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church and Highfield Community Center.

Lorie was the beloved wife of Rodger Stewart since their marriage in 1973; mother of Amy (Ashley) Stewart and Matthew (Erin) Stewart; sister of Dorothy (John) DeFoggi and Donna Druga; and grandmother of Julie Rosenbaum, Kendall, Lucas, Bradley, Henry and Iris Stewart.

Along with her parents, Lorie was preceded in death by her sister, Diane (Tom) Robison.

STEWART — All services for Dolores “Lorie” Stewart, who died Monday, Dec. 16, 2024, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
