Shabella

Mary “Lynn” Shabella, 69, of Evans City, passed away Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, while under the care of Transitions Healthcare in Washington, Pa. Mary fought a lifelong battle against adult muscular dystrophy.

Born on July 24,1955, in Latrobe, she was the daughter of the late Holmes E. and Mary Pearl (Kuhns) Nicely. Mary graduated from Greater Latrobe High School, Class of 1973.

Lynn loved to do crafts and garden. She enjoyed spending time with her children. Lynn never missed a soccer game, Little League game or band performance of her children. Lynn loved going to rock concerts and traveling.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Martin; son, Matthew; daughter, Mandy; and son, Marcus; two granddaughters, Gemma and Karry; a brother, Joe Nicely; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Warren, and five brothers, Holmes E. Jr., Holmes Max, Wayne, Barry L. and David Nicely.

SHABELLA — Friends and family of Mary “Lynn” Shabella, who died Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, will be received from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the blessing service at 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.
