Frances "Jane" Kerchner, 99, of Mars, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, Dec. 21, 2024, in the comfort of her home under hospice care.

Born May 21, 1925, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Bailey and Laura Williamson Whipple.

Jane enjoyed many winters in Florida with her husband where they met many new friends. She loved water aerobics and card club with her friends. Most of all, she had a strong faith throughout her life. She was a member of LifePointe Alliance Church in Mars.

Surviving are her sons, Doug of Mars and Rich of Indiana; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her loving, longtime caretaker, Toni Miller.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Joseph J. Kerchner, whom she married on Jan. 19, 1942, and who died Jan. 11, 2000; a daughter, Judy Gaetano; a son, David Kerchner; and a grandson, Jason Kerchner.

KERCHNER — Friends of Frances "Jane" Kerchner, who died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, are invited to a memorial service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, with the Rev. Paul Cope officiating.

Burial will be in Mars Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
