Seneca Valley Senior High School’s marching band played at the Florida Power Super Holiday Parade, which was previously known as the Citrus Bowl, on Dec. 30, 2002.

About 230 students took the 24-hour bus journey to Orlando, Fla., to perform in the parade, after students raised money to defray the cost of each student's trip.

The band would go on to march at Epcot Center and take part in a number of musical and dance clinics at Disney World. The band also visited MGM Studios, Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, and spent New Year's Eve at the Epcot Center.

“What would normally take a year to accomplish was done in four months with tremendous support from the local community and business organizations,” said Frank Bibri, then president of the band boosters.
