John G. Duncan, 77, of Fenelton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 18, 1947, in Butler, and was the son of the late George Duncan and Blanche (Gaiser) Duncan.

John had worked for the grounds crew at Butler Area School District. He had been a member of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Bingo and bowling, and he also loved camping with his Buttercup family. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife, Beverly (Groves) McWilliams; two sons, John (Lori) Duncan Jr. of Butler and Eric Duncan of Knox; two sisters, Blanche Ruby of Butler and Alice (Ron) Shuba of Butler; three brothers, Dave (Mabel) Duncan, Ted Duncan and Gary (Valerie) Duncan, all of Butler; a stepdaughter, Mindy (Jay) McWilliams of New Kensington; his stepson, Mike (Jess) McWilliams of New Kensington; his grandchildren, Landon, George, Anthony and Johny; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Sherry Lynne (Lucas) Duncan; two sisters, Leona Perry and Ruth Duncan; and a brother, Ray Duncan.

DUNCAN — Friends of John G. Duncan, who died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Private interment is in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
