Lola May Maurhoff

Lola May Maurhoff, 96, of Cabot passed away Sunday at her home.

Born Nov. 29, 1919, in Squirrel Hill, she was the daughter of Frank Fetzer and Pearl Carrie Thwaite Fetzer.

Lola was a 1942 graduate of Grove City College. She worked as a teller for Mellon Bank in Chicora and Pittsburgh National Trust in Butler.

Lola was a member of the First English Lutheran Church before her marriage; she then became a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in 1953, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Altar Guild. She was a 4-H leader for many years, and she was a member of the Saxonburg Women's Club, Past Republican Committee women of Jefferson Township and the Farm Show Committee Women.

Surviving are her husband, Alfred Maurhoff, who she married April 6, 1953; three sons, Herbert Maurhoff of Cabot, Charles Maurhoff of Cabot and John (Julie) Maurhoff of Pacifica, Calif.; three daughters, Emily (Todd) Davis of Beaver Falls, Anita (the late Hans) Terwilliger of Cabot and Jeanne Maurhoff of Frederick, Md.; and six grandchildren, Lyda (Anthony) Latagliata, Andrew (Stephanie) Davis, Carolyn Davis, Matthew Davis, Eve Terwilliger and Kelvin Maurhoff.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Francis Fetzer.

MAURHOFF — A memorial service for Lola May Maurhoff, who died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at St. Luke Lutheran Church with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen officiating.
